Waar gaat Mars over?
2033. Zes astronauten ondernemen voor het eerst een bemande missie naar Mars. Ondanks alle voorbereidingen krijgt men te maken met grote problemen. Tijdens de landing gaat er iets mis met het schip van de pioniers, de Daedalus. Hierdoor komt de groep niet terecht op hun geplande landingsplaats, maar zo’n 75 mijl verderop. Bovendien blijkt hun aanvoerder gewond te zijn geraakt.
